On my radar


Part 1: The Guardian post 


Hi guys, today im going to talk about the cultural highlights in the Hayley Squires post on The Guardian. In the post she talks about six topics that are related with culture, the topics she choose are: a book; a gig/concert; a TV show; an artist; a film and music. From this six topics that she talks about i think the most interesting for me it´s the TV show, in this case she talks about "The Bear". I saw this show so im in the same page that Hayley with all the words she says about the show, it´s such a special show and i really think everyone should see it, because is one of that shows that you never forget and wee don´t see this kind of show so often.

Part 2: My Cultural Radar

In this part im going to make my own cultural radar so i hope you guys like it.

1.Film Spiderman Across the Spider-Verse (dir. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson, 2023)

This is the second part of the Spider-Verse saga that is going to be a trilogy. In this second part we see the protagonist "Miles" fighting with the fact that he is spiderman and now he has to balance. In this movie we see all the things that we saw previously on the first part "Into the Spider-Verse" but now everything is amplified by ten, we see a lot more characters, universes and stories. I love this movie because under all the beauty of his animation (that is one of the best i saw in my life), it has a really complicated stories and characters and i think is important that this kind of movie reach the kids.

2.TV show One Piece (Netflix)


I have to recognize that i don´t saw the anime of one piece, but that´s exactly the point of this series. You don´t need to see the thousand´s episodes of the anime series to be part of this new reimagination that netflix bring us this 2023. I´m currently watching it, so i have a few chapters more to see and give mi final opinion, but what i can say with the episodes i saw is that this is a really good show, the cast is amazing, the music too, the CGI it´s very well done, and the main concern that fans have at first with the main character luffy are gone, Iñaki Godoy (who plays luffy in this adaptation) portray perfectly all the kindness, energy and emotion that luffy always has.

3.Music "Moment of your life"(Brent Faiyaz ft. Coco Jones)



Brent Faiyaz is an RyB singer and he bring us his latest single "Moment of your life" featuring the singer Coco Jones. As always Brent give us a song talking about love, the mix of voices here is amazing, for everyone who likes RyB i can´t recommend more this song and all Brent Faiyaz songs.

4.Comic Book "Old man Logan" (Mark Millar, Steve Mc Niven)


Old Man Logan is a series of comics published by Marvel comics in where we see an alternative version of the fampus character "wolverine". In this world the villains take control of the earth and wolverine have guilt for that, now he lives in the shadows with his family trying to have a normal life. One day all that is in danger becacause he owes money to the Hulk sons. Now logan have to go on a final journey crossing all the country to do one last job, but this isn´t going to be easy.

Hi everyone in this blog im going to share a recommendation of a book I read some time ago. I hope you guys take a look at this book and enjoy it like I did when I first read it. This book is a classic, it's called the art of war by an ancient Chinese military strategist called Sun Tzu. My experience with English language

 Hi everyone, today i´m going to talk about my experience learning the english language. I think i started to learn English in the first years of school because before that i think i didn´t even know how to approach me to it. In the first years they teach you some basic vocabulary and the well kwon verb "to be", and i think that is one of the easiest thing; besides i think one of the most difficult thing for me it´s writitng, it´s so complicated they have so many grammar rules and some of them make absolutely no sense, jajajaj.  When i´m out of class i keep practicing by watching series in English with subtitles in Spanish so i can listen to the pronunciation and relate what i´m hearing with what actually it says in Spanish, i think doing this i learn the majority of what i know today, i´m not a native speaker but i can understand almost everything. What i do the past week?

 The last week we have the opportunity to relax before we have to do a lot of work for university, so here are the top 5 things i make during the last past week. 1. Sleep The most amazing thing that i can do during the last week is to wake up at 10 or 11, it's incredible when you wake up and it's cold and gray outside and you can stay on the bed as long as you want, it's a little thing that i think everyone enjoys. 2. Eat  What would it be an september 18 without good food, we eat a lot of food and a lot of meat especifically, and i´m a meat lover so that is a thing i personally enjoy a lot , choripan was also a food we eat a lot and i love it. I think we ate meat for three days with my whole family. 3. Watch movies I love watching movies and series and in the last week I had the opportunity to see some movies that have been on my list for a time.
